Friends & Family Interview #5

Introducing Juju -
I first met Juju on Shelfari a few years ago. I was thinking about reading the "Sugar Maple Series" by Barbara Bretton. I did a search for others who were reading it. I found Juju and she was very helpful and turned me onto quite a few good books. And we have been friends ever since.
She has a great blog! Check her out at "Tales of Whimsy" - HERE

1. How long have you lived in your area?
We moved to Kentucky last summer when I was pretty pregnant. So just a bit over a year.
I remember when you moved.

2. What are the best things about living there and what are the worst?
I love the weather. The leaves are changing now and it's gorgeous. Yes, KY is beautiful! Do you have a view of the mountains?
My husband has an awesome job that pays a bit more and allows me to stay home with my daughter. My least favorite thing would be the drivers. For some reason our city has some really mean passive aggressive drivers. Oh really? I would not have thought that!

3. What is your favorite food to eat? And what is your favorite food to cook?
I love Indian food. Naan, chicken tikka masala, chai tea, jasmine rice, tofu....yum yum yum! What do I love to cook? I make a mean meatloaf and am quite the soupista. I love homemade soups!

4. What is your favorite smell or scent?
Does the scent of fall count? You know that scent when you first step outside on a chilly fall morning? It's a mixture of dew and falling leaves. Yes, I do know what you mean. I adore it. I wish I could bottle that smell and chill.

5. If you were given a week and all the money you need - how would you spend it?
Oh easy for me. I would go to northern Italy. Oh wow, thats cool.Since I have all the money I need, I'm bringing my mom. She's not a big traveler but loves spending time with her grandbaby so she could baby sit and enjoy Italian cafes while my husband and I explore explore explore. We'd probably jump a few trains and change towns a few times. Yeah that sounds like fun, and since you have all the money you need, you could bring me!

6. What is the last music you listened to (and be honest!)?
Old Hank Williams Jr. My daddy loved his music when I was growing up. Now that my father is gone (he passed in April 2011) I always listen to Hank when I want to feel closer to him. Awww, do you like other Country music? I am a big CM fan!

7. If you could give one million dollors to one charity, what would it be? and why?
I would probably donate to the humane society. They do amazing work and need more funds.
We got our Princess kitty, Martina from the Humane society!

8. What is the one thing around the house that you hate doing?
Cleaning the bathtub. Argh. All that bending and scrubbing. Blech. I always joke that when I'm rich someday, I'm so hiring someone to come in once a week and do my bathrooms. Oh... yeah... I do hate that job too!

9. What is your favorite thing to do for fun?
Dinner and a movie with my husband. Oh I just love going out to dinner! With our little one we don't get to do it too often. It's so nice to have a beer, eat something different, and watch a movie together. The last movie we saw was Mirror Mirror.

10. Surprise me! I was a wild one. I have four tattoos and once had my tongue pierced. HUH, wow! I never figured you for that one! (I was a wild one too, shhhh)

  19. My eyes have been opened to Indian food. For the past year, I haven't been able to get enough! We don't really have seasons in Texas so I don't know the smell you are talking about. We have Fall but no leaves fall. Then we have winter for about 8 days and if you aren't careful, you can sleep through it. Then there is Spring, but other states call this summer. Then we have Summer and Texas Summer. I would have never thought of the tongue piercing and tattoos. Lol. You surprised me on that one.

    I love these interviews!
