Fear, Faith, and a Fistful of Chocolate - Debora Coty (Kindle Fire Giveaway and 3/7 Facebook party!)

4 stars!

ABOUT THE BOOK -
Are you ready to strip fear's power over you and become the confident woman you were meant to be? Have you found that tolerating your personal fear monsters only makes them growl louder?
Okay, sister - take my hand and let's boldly step up and yank the masks off those shadow-lurking, anxiety-churning, worry-generating beasts.
With her own brand of off-beat wit and wisdom, inspirational humorist Debora Coty addresses heart needs of women worn down by everyday fears - financial, health, relationships, loss, pain, the unknown, the what ifs ...
With fresh spiritual insight, Debora shares hope, true life stories, scriptural lifelines, and a few LOL's along with simple, practical tips for sidestepping fear with faith. And a fistful of chocolate!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR -
Debora Coty is an occupational therapist, a piano teacher, and a freelance writer. She's also involved in the children's ministry at her church and is an avid tennis player. Debora began writing to fill the void when her last child left for college, and it has since become a passion. Debora has a real knack for getting across sound biblical concepts with a refreshing lightheartedness as attested in her monthly newspaper column entitled "Grace Notes: God's Grace for Everyday Living."

MY REVIEW -
This is an adorable little book! And it is little too, which I think is a huge advantage because you can just throw it in your purse and take it with you anywhere. And you will want to.
And look at these adorable pink (yes, I said pink, I am a pink lover) pages!
Enough about the appearance, now for the content.
This little book has a chapter for everything. Anything that you could be feeling - there's a chapter for that. Anything challenge that you are facing - there's a chapter for that. Any problem that comes up - there's a chapter for that!
*Internal fears - humiliation, rejection, guilt etc.
*External fears - worry, risks, anxiety, etc.
*The war is on - truth & gratitude, compassion, forgiveness, etc.
*Faceless fears - money, death, fear of the un-known, etc.

Try to tell me that you have not ever felt at least a few of those in your life. I am sure even the most well put-together modern woman feels some fear and self-doubt in her life. I think all of us could used this book at some time.
The way it is set up you can either read through the whole thing chapter by chapter like a devotional. Or you could use it like I would use it - pick and choose the chapters and do them as you feel the need for them in your life.
There are questions at the end of each chapter.
*What fears do you obsess over?
*Do you agree that insecurity is often the bottom line for anxiety?
*When was the last time you tried something new?
*What's one thing you've done that caused your tsunami of guilt to hit the beach?

So as you can tell, this is really a great little book. The only thing I would have liked is to have more bible verse references (there are some, but I would have liked even more).

Thank you so much "Litfuse" for sending me this great little book to read and review!
