ABOUT THE AUTHOR -

Stan and Jan Berenstain introduced the first Berenstain Bear books in 1962 and celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Berenstain Bears during 2012! Mike Berenstain grew up watching his parents work together to write about and draw these lovable bears. Eventually he started drawing and writing about them too. Though Stan died in 2005 and Jan in 2012, Mike continues to create the delightful Bear adventures from his studio in Pennsylvania.

MY REVIEW -

What better way to teach the true meaning of Thanksgiving than through a fun children's book!

This book is fun to read and yet educational. Its full of bright cute pictures and has a small sheet of stickers in the middle. I think this book could become a read-aloud tradition every Thanksgiving.

"We should remember those first Pilgrim bears who came to Bear country long ago... They were seeking a land where they could worship God in freedom. At first, life was hard in the new land. But the Native Bears, who already lived there, gave them food and shared in a great feast. That was the first Thanksgiving." ~ A real nice way of putting it.
