Sinners Creed - Kim Jones

3 Stars

ABOUT THE BOOK -
Dirk lives in the shadows—performing hits, maintaining order, and upholding the no-holds-barred legacy of the Sinner’s Creed Motorcycle Club. A nomad with a restless spirit and a cold heart, the open road is his world. One of the few constants in his life: his desire for the one woman who has consumed his thoughts for years.
Saylor Samson grew up far from the harshness of Dirk’s world. But ever since she was seventeen she’s been drawn to this dark and mysterious man who always seemed to show up just when she needed him.
After years of fated encounters, he’s back. This time he’s taking her. This time she’s ready for the ride. But just when the darkness in Dirk’s life begins to fade, Saylor reveals a secret that puts them both to the ultimate test. Now, Dirk has to make a decision: submit to his destiny with the MC, or choose his own.

MY THOUGHTS -
If anything this book taught me that not all motorcycle club books are created equally and I do not love them all! This was an OK read at best for me and I gave it a generous 3 stars only because I liked Dirk. On the other hand I did not like Saylor at all. I just could not get into her character. I am a free spirit/hippie chick from way back but I guess I didn't like it on her. And usually I can get a picture of the character in my mind and I could not picture her at all. I tried to picture her as a young Goldie Hawn in "Butterflies are Free" but even that didn't work for long, because I love Goldie Hawn.

This story was all over the place for me. It started out really good and I thought I was gonna love it. But then it became all about the sex (and I hate that), then at the end it got sad (but that didn't even revive it for me (I like sad books).

Sooo like I said - just OK at best but I LOVE the cover!!!
- a LOT of sex and swearing and not very romantic. Although Dirk himself had a romantic heart and I did like his character. I think this will be it for me with this author - it's just not for me.
This book did get some great reviews on Amazon - so some people did love it!

Thanks Berkley Romance for sending me this book for my honest review.
