The Night Voyage - Daria Song

5 Stars!

ABOUT THE BOOK
From the wonderfully creative mind behind The Time Garden and The Time Chamber comes the third in the series, hitting stores in at the end of the month. With the coloring book craze still in full swing, this lovely colorable story is more relevant than ever.

The Night Voyage  is an evocatively illustrated story of a little girl who is swept away on the eve of her birthday by her toy train conductor on a magical journey to distribute gifts around the globe, from London to Paris to Granada. Following the trend of the previous books, Daria Song enchants readers with beautifully intricate art that her fans have come to love, featuring a world of paper cranes, penny-farthing bicycles, trolleys, city scapes, and hot air balloon-filled skies.

Taking devotees of Daria Song on an imaginative new adventure, The Night Voyage continues Song's wildly successful series with her own unique art, telling a magical story of adventure and whimsy.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR -
Daria Song is an artist living and working in Seoul, Korea, and has drawn inspiration from time spent in foreign cities as a child. The Night Voyage is the perfect way for coloring enthusiasts to add their own artistic flair to some of the most striking world wonders.

MY THOUGHTS -
I was so excited about this 3rd book of Daria's! I am definitely a fan of hers. I own quite a few adult coloring books and hers are always my favorite!
The artistry is amazing. There is so much detail in her drawings. They are just beautiful. Each page is so original and fun to color. I can hardly wait to get started!
The book is a real nice quality. It is printed on nice thick paper and is a really good size.
Amazon has this listed as a #1 best seller - well its no wonder.
And, being a cat lover - I love the cat in all the pictures!

If coloring is your thing and you love detailed fun pictures - this is the perfect series for you!

  2. Hi Wendy!
So sorry for being so lame lately in the blogging world. I am currently student teaching, which is taking most of my focus time.

Anywho, I've been seeing how popular these coloring books are getting. I haven't tried one but I know of many who enjoy doing them. This series that you reviewed seems something that my sister might enjoy. My sister loves all the artsy stuff. :)
