The Christmas Shoppe, by Melody Carlson (Review and Giveaway)

5 STARS!!!!!

ABOUT THE BOOK -
The small town of Parrish Springs is not ready for Matilda Honeycutt. A strange older woman with scraggly gray hair and jewelry that jangles as she walks, Matilda is certainly not the most likely person to buy the old Barton Building on the town's quaint main street. When it becomes apparent that her new shop doesn't fit the expectations of Parrish Springs residents, a brouhaha erupts. After all, Christmas is approaching, and the last thing the town needs is a junky shop run by someone who looks and acts like a gypsy. But as townsfolk venture into the strange store, they discover that old memories can bring new life and healing.

MY REVIEW -
Great little book! It didn't take me long to devour this little gem. Very nice sweet Christmas story. This shows the real Spirit of Christmas - Forgiveness, Love, Peace, and Truth. At the end of the book it has a nice Christian message with the true reason for the Holiday - Jesus' birth.
What makes this book so fun and cute is all the little magic involved. Is Matilda a Witch like the residents of this small town believe? Is she an Angel? or is she just a very wise old woman who happens to know just what people need to make them happy?
Very clean book that would be perfect for everyone, even a great read-a-loud story.

This is my first Melody Carlson book! I was very surprised to find out that she has soooo many books out. I would love to read some more by her.
Have you ever read any of her books? If so do you have a recommendation?
