Fun Friday!
Winners!
Daughter of the Goddess (e-book) - Jenn C.
The Hunted Hare - Lisa G.
Congrats!
Now I am asking for your help!!!!
Last week I chose a winner for "The Woman in Black" to be Amanda Ray.
I thought I had mailed it and everything till I went back to my stash and saw the book!
Then I remembered that I never heard from Amanda.
So I looked back through my emails and couldn't find anything, even in the trash.
So now I am thinking that maybe I never emailed her!
And to make matters worse - I can't find her email address!
So... if anyone knows her, or if any other blogger has her visit them. could you please let me know, or let her know!
I am going to give it another week, then I will have to, by default, choose another winner :-(
I am so embarrassed, I have never done this before!
If you are Amanda Ray, and are reading this post, please either comment or contact me!

Oh my gosh!!!!
If you are a book blogger - there are probably a small handful of authors that you are dieing to get a comment from.
For me those would be -
Christian writers - Kim Vogel Sawyer, Stephanie Grace Whitson, Denise Hildreth Jones, and Ted Dekker
Fiction - Joshilyn Jackson, Barbara Bretton, Alice Hoffman, Lauren Conrad (LOL, seriously!), and Sarah Addison Allen. Just to name a few.
Oh my gosh! Kim Vogel Sawyer commented on my blog!
I can not even begin to tell you how honored I feel! If you have not read any of her books, you should, they are simply wonderful!

Interview #6
Introducing Vonnie. I love Vonnie! Vonnie and I are new blogger friends but old Shelfari friends.
Vonnie and I are in a few Shelfari groups together so we get to talk quite a bit. Vonnie showed an interest in starting a book blog. I gave her a few pointers and lots of encouragement and Yay! She now has a very successful book blog. Visit her at "Vonnie's Reading Corner" - HERE
I have to post this picture of her in her Belly Dancing outfit because I think it is beautiful!
1. How long have you lived in your area?
I've lived in my area for over five years.
2. What are the best things about living there and what are the worst?
The best thing about living in my area is the location. It's far from the freeway so you don't get much of the smog and noise as we used to get at our old place. My area is very green with the many trees and hills. It also has three national parks, so there's wild life and there are many hiking trails. Sounds great!
The bad thing about my area is the location lol. As much as I love being away from the freeway, it's a hassle trying to go to places. It takes us longer to get to the freeway than actually being on it. Also, traffic is horrible since we are at the edge of L.A. County and O.C. County, especially on the streets. Oh the streets…the streets are stupid here. LOL There are no short cuts. When you think that you found an easier way to get somewhere, you soon realize it takes longer and it wraps around taking you were you began. It's very easy getting lost over here and my friends hate coming to see because of the streets.Yeah I would that too!
3. What is your favorite food to eat? And what is your favorite food to cook?
Oh gosh…I love ALL kinds of food but I am a big sucker for Thai food. If I could, I would have Thai food almost every day.Yum! There is a great Thai restaurant in Ithaca I used to go to a lot. I haven't been there in years.
My favorite food to cook will anything related to breakfast. It's fast and easy and I love eggs. Me too! I hate to cook but I love fixing breakfast! I love to make omelets and pancakes and french toast and home fries, oh my gosh I am making me hungry!
4. What is your favorite smell or scent?
I really enjoy cinnamon apple. That's one of my hubby's favorites.
5. If you were given a week and all the money you need - how would you spend it?
I will make sure to pay off all of my debts, buy me a new car, move out of my parents' home, and go back to school to get my credential and masters (since I'll have only a week, at least I'll be able to pay for the tests and applications). Hmmm well if you had all the money you could buy magic and do one of those speed courses!
6. What is the last music you listened to (and be honest!)?
I was listening to the new Muse CD. The last song I heard was Survival (the theme song to this year's Olympics). Hmm never heard of it.
7. If you could give one million dollars to one charity, what would it be? and why?
Do schools count as charity? Education has gone incredibly bad here in California and schools are in dire need of funding. If I had one million dollars, I would make sure to donate it to my local schools here or to schools who need it the most. Sure school can count, and that is a very good idea! Schools never have enough money and it just keeps getting cut more and more. I worked in the school system for years so I know first hand!
8. What is the one thing around the house that you hate doing?
Dust…I don't know why but I prefer washing the dishes, cleaning the toilet, and organizing papers than dusting. Because of this, my room is cover in dust (and it doesn't help that my home area is very dusty because of all the dirt from the hills). Yeah, I seriously think I only dust once a year around Thanksgiving or Christmas (but never both! LOL).
9. What is your favorite thing to do for fun?
Other than reading, the other thing I like to do for fun is belly dance. Yay! It keeps me sane and healthy. I am able to express myself fully when I dance and I really enjoy making people smile when they see me perform. I especially love it when I surprise people on how good I really am.
I'm a big girl and when people see me they either think I'm too fat and/or think that it's impossible that I could belly dance. Once they see me perform though, their jaws drop. Countless times I've gotten people telling me, “You were the best one in the group,” and my favorite, “I first I thought you were too fat to be doing this, but after watching you perform I am in love on how graceful you are and how amazing you dance.” Man, I would love to watch you! Do you have a video of yourself?
10. Surprise me!
I hardly watch TV, but the show I do not miss is Dexter. I love this series and I'm super hyped that the new season has started. I wonder how it's going to end. Haha that is so funny! Never watched it. I love TV!
Wow! Cool photo. SO off to see her blog. Great interview.
