Two Tickets to the Christmas Ball, by Donita K. Paul (review and giveaway!)

5 Stars!!!!!

About the Book (from Amazon) -
In a sleepy, snow-covered city, Cora Crowder is busy preparing for the holiday season. Searching for a perfect gift, a fortuitous trip to Warner, Werner, and Wizbotterdad’s (a most unusual bookshop) leads to an unexpected encounter with co-worker Simon Derrick. And the surprise discovery of a ticket for a truly one-of-a-kind Christmas Ball.

Every year, the matchmaking booksellers of the Sage Street bookshop host an enchanting, old-fashioned Christmas Ball for the romantic matches they’ve decided to bring together.

This year, will Simon and Cora discover a perfect chemistry in their opposite personalities and shared faith? Or will the matchmakers’ best laid plans end up ruining everything this holiday?

My Review -
This was my first Christmas book of the season, And I am so glad it was! What a delightful book! I loved this whimsical book. What a way to mix Christian faith and Magic. But then again Faith is kinda  like magic isn't it? I seriously read this book in one day! It was a nice little romance with just enough magic to keep it interesting. I LOVED all the characters! Cora, the sweet, but distraught and lonely office girl (I kinda pictured her as Emma on Glee), Simon, the Boss-man, serious, task oriented, eyes to the floor, but also lonely! And Sandy, Simon's sister who has Down syndrome, innocent, and sweet (or is she? She seems to know more than she lets on!). And of course Cora's cat who gets mysteriously pregnant and the shoppe owners who try desperately to get Simon and Cora together.
This was the absolute perfect little Christmas romance! I had never heard of this Author before, she has written a series of Fantasy/Dragon books. I really hope she writes another one like this, I will be lining up to get it!
Thanks you so much -WaterBrook Multnomah Publishers for sending me a copy to review.

  8. I want to read this so bad! It sounds amazing ... and the title's just way too fun :o)

My all-time favorite Christmas book is Gloria Houston's "Year of the Perfect Christmas Tree" ... but in terms of 'grown up' Christmas books: I really enjoyed "Knit the Season"
