The Convenient Groom, by Denise Hunter (Review & Giveaway!)

**DONE**

 4 1/2 STARS!!!!

About the book -
She wrote the book--literally--on finding the right mate. But does she really understand what love's about?

Five hours before her Nantucket beach wedding--and on the eve of her big book launch--celebrity marriage counselor Kate Lawrence has everything in place.  Everything, that is, but the groom. She might not have a career, either, when her nationwide audience finds out their marriage guru has been left at the altar.

Enter Lucas Wright, who offers to stand in for the missing husband-to-be and marry her. Kate's desperate enough to agree--although she's sure this Mr. Wright is completely wrong for her. Can they pull it off? And why would Lucas marry her in the first place?

With her life spinning out of control, Kate wonders what good her carefully laid plans are if they only lead to chaos. Could it be that "Dr. Kate" doesn't know the first thing about love? When she seeks God's will instead of her won, Kate finally discovers true and lasting love.

My Review - I really loved this book! I really wanted to give it a 5 but I am trying  not to give out 5 Star ratings so readily and save them for the intensely great books, so I settled on 4 1/2 STARS. I love this style of writing, I love this genre. I think this is labeled Christian Romance but to me it feels more like Christian Chick-Lit (which I love!).

The character development is great. I loved Kate (I wasn't sure at first, but I grew to love her) and I LOVED Lucas! Loved him! I kept thinking "Oh Kate honey if you don't want him, I do!" Then I remembered "Oh yeah, I'm happily married!" LOL. It had an "AWWWWW" ending. It did have a few twists and turns so even though you expected a happy ending, you were still kind of surprised. And I want my happy ending in a love story anyway!

I instantly became a fan of Denise Hunter. This is the first book I have read of hers, but it definitely won't be the last! I am already looking up the other titles of this Nantucket Love Story Series.
And I love the cover! Isn't it so cute? I just love her expression.

If you like Romance, Chick-Lit, and Christian stories, I highly recommend this for you. And since it is Christian - there is no swearing or sex so it would be fine for teens.

Thank you "Thomas Nelson Publishing" for sending me this book to review!
