What a great week!

I have never done this before - list the book I have gotten this week, but... I have really gotten some great books this past week! My birthday was last week (thanks for all the birthday wishes!!!).

Books I received last week -

True You: A Journey to Finding and Loving Yourself, by Janet Jackson
I received this book from my wonderful daughter (@ Fictionista (her new book blog, check it out) for my birthday! Funny thing, I told my hubby I wanted it for my birthday but never told my daughter and she ended up buying it for me even before I saw it. She just knew me so well that she knew that I would want it! I have always loved Janet Jackson ever since I can remember! I think she is a beautiful person inside and out. Can't wait to read this beautiful book.

The Lance Mackey Story, by Lance Mackey
I received this book from Care @ - Lit in the Last Frontier
She did an Iditarod reading challenge, which I won first place for (I also received an awesome iditarod t-shirt) ! Anyone who knows me knows I am a huge Iditarod fan and a Lance Mackey fan. I follow the Iditarod every year on the internet. It is one of my dreams to go to Nome AK and be there at the finish line, maybe some day....

Garden Spells, by Sarah Addison Allen

I joined RAK (Random acts of Kindness) for the first time!!!!! I received 2 books. It was like Christmas, or my birthday LOL! I have wanted to read this book ever since it first came out. Thanks so much Kristen!

Cracked Up to Be, by Courtney Summers
I received this book from my good blogger friend Shanyn @ Chick Loves Lit, for RAK!!! Isn't she wonderful! I am almost finished with this book so there will be a review coming soon. All I can tell you now is that I will save it for my daughter to read at the next RAT. hint hint Great book!

The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane, by Katherine Howe
Another book I have been wanting to read ever since it first came out! This book is about the Salem Witch trials, and you know how much I love reading about that! I actually bought this book my self - It was at our Dollar store for $3.00!!!!  Cool- huh?

So as you can see I've had a really great week for books!
I have decided that for RAK I am going to do an every other month thing - This month (May) I received 2 books, so for June I will not sign up but I will send out 2 books to other people. Then I will sign up for July etc. Let me know if you sign up next month and I will look for you!
