Log Cabin Christmas, by Asst, Authors

4 1/2 Stars!

This was one of my Christmas gifts from my mom-in-law. We had to celebrate early this year due to the hubby"s work schedule. I was so surprised when I opened this! I had seen this book many times and was so tempted to buy it for myself, but did  not. Also a good friend of mine, just last week told me. "I read a really good Christmas book, you would really like Wendy!" It was this very same book! I told her I had been wanting it. But my mom-in-law knew nothing of all this! It was just a combination of a lucky guess and her knowing me that well to know what kind of book I would want.

Well - I loved it! This is a collection of 9 Christian Historical Romance short stories. The title "Log Cabin Christmas" comes from - each of the stories having a log cabin in the storyline.
Each story was so good. I was amazed at the character development and detailed descriptions in each one!
Two of my favorite stories were -
"Under His Wing" by Liz Tolsma - This took place in a logging camp! Believe it or not, I love stories like that. For such a short story this was very powerful. I was actually crying after the first few pages.
"A Grand Country Christmas" by Debra Ullrick. This was a very original story about two emigrants to the US who are brought together under dire circumstances. The love story in this one is not only of the two main characters but also of the children! Very sweet.

I highly recommend this book for Christmas! Having 9 stories to choose from - you can read them one at a time or all together as a book. All are very sweet Christian stories.

  1. This sounds like it would make a lovely read for the quiet time after all the gifts have been opened and the food has been gobbled. Must go see if I can find it!

    Happy Holidays!
