Fun Friday!

Some Winners -
Short-Straw Bride - Amanda
Rainshadow Road - Melody - her favorite beach is Orange Beach.
I had 94 entries for this and I think there were 94 different beaches or body of water named!
Here are just a few -
Crystal Lake Beach (sounds beautiful!)
Jones Beach (I know where that is!)
West Palm Beach
Susquehanna River
Newport Rhode island beach
White Rock beach
Laguna Beach, Ca
Pensacola Beach!
Hilton Head Island (YAY I love Hilton Head! I used to hang out there when I lived in Savannah)
Lake Tahoe
creek on our property (Ha! I love that one)
Tybee Island, GA (YAAAAY I lived in Savannah for a couple years and it was my favoritest (its a word) place I have ever lived!
Lake Michigan

It was so much fun reading through all the different waters, I am going to keep the list so I can look up where some of these are.

The McAllen Public Library in McAllen, TX is said to be the the largest single-story library in the United States.
It is housed in an old Walmart building! Now that is cool recycling!

  2. That is some seriously smart recycling. I hate when they build new buildings when there are perfectly good abandoned ones all over the place.

  4. Darn...I didn't win the Lisa Kleypas book lol Oh well...

The library looks awesome! You should check out the Cerritos Library in California, especially the Children's section. It has an aquarium, a dinosaur skeletal replica, and a lighthouse. The rest of the library almost looks like a mall.

  6. Finally got to reading the article. It's pretty awesome how they converted WalMart into a library and now it's one of the biggest one-story libraries in the US. :)
