Melanie Falick, publishing director of STC Craft, is the author of Handknit Holidays, Knit: A Personal Handbook, and Knitting for Baby (with Kristin Nicholas) (all STC), plus Kids Knitting and Knitting in America—with more than 400,000 books in print. Melanie Falick wrote Knitting for Baby with Kristin Nicholas. She lives in Dutchess County, NY.
MY REVIEW -
I was a little disappointed in this book.To me this seemed more like a "how-to" book rather than a pattern book, which is great if you are a beginner. I am a very experienced knitter so I found this book lacking. There were a couple of cute patterns but for the most part it was just too simple for me.
I normally love Melanie Falick's knitting books, so I found this to be disappointing.
For a beginner - this has lots to offer you! Very easy patterns, great instructions. It has in-depth descriptions on the basics with lots of nice colored pictures. There are also clear drawings and graphs with the instructions.
For an experienced knitter - 2 Stars
For a beginner - 4 Stars
So I am rounding it off and giving it a 3 star rating.

MY REVIEW -
This book had a few nice patterns that I thought I would knit.There are nice colored pictures and clear easy instructions. I liked that there were several pictures of the same item. Giving you a clear view of what it looks like.
There is quite a variety of items to knit in this book.
There are shawls, sweaters, socks, mittens, hats and even things for the home. There were a couple nice pillows patterns.
I actually took this book out of the library so I could get a better look at it. And I have to say it does come across better in book form than it does on my nook. There was a hat I thought I didn't like but when I saw it in the actual book I liked it!
This is a nice all round mid-level knitting book with a wide range of patterns. It has something for every one.
I am giving this book a 4 Star rating.
