Friends and Family interview #3

I have been "friends" with Aris for hmmm over a year, maybe two? I stumbled upon her blog and read one of her books - "Across Eternity" which I have labeled - THE most romantic book I have ever read!
Get it from B&N for 2.99 - HERE
I have two of her other books downloaded on my nook and intend to read and review them after the New Year.
Aris is a wonderful person! She is so sweet and nice. She comments here on my blog often and always has nice things to say. She has a great blog - HERE Where she posts great pictures of decorating ideas and great recipes! She is a fellow Vegetarian so all her recipes look so good to me!
Go visit her at her blog and say hi, tell her I sent you!

And, not to mention, she is gorgeous!

1. How long have you lived in your area?
Though I was born in southern California (I’m a OC kid), I’ve lived in northern California most of my life.

2. What are the best things about living there and what are the worst?
The best thing about living in northern California is the pace of life is slower than other areas of CA. There is a lot of country and farming—a great place to raise children. I also love the fact that in a 2 hour drive I can be in Tahoe in the snow, at Fort Bragg enjoying the ocean, or in San Francisco enjoying the city. It sounds wonderful!

3. What is your favorite food to eat?
I love avocados. Me too! I can eat them all the time. I find people who don’t like guacamole very suspicious…LOL And what is your favorite food to cook? I love to bake so anything sweet will do. I hate to bake, so you can bake for me anytime!

4. What is your favorite smell or scent?
I love the smell of freshly brewed coffee or freshly ground coffee beans. I immensely enjoy the aroma that hits you as you walked into a café—if I could smell that all the time I’d be in heaven. Yum! You know my love for coffee!

5. If you were given a week and all the money you need - how would you spend it?
I had to think about this one. It was a tossup between traveling or using the money to visit family and friends. I think I would combine the two of these and I would take my family and friends on a vacation of a life time. Ha! That sounds great!

6. What is the last music you listened to (and be honest!)?
Enrique Iglesias (yes I’m blushing…the CD was playing in my car as I took my daughter to school) Hey, he's HOT!

7. If you could give one million dollars to one charity, what would it be
The Wounded Worrier Project.  and why? Because it is the braved men and women of our armed forces that keep my family and I safe and free. It would be amazing to give back to them. Wow! Yes, that is a nice idea!

8. What is the one thing around the house that you hate doing?
Cleaning out the refrigerator. I hate, hate, hate it. Oh? Ummm  you're suppose to clean them? LOL Yes, I hate that too.

9. What is your favorite thing to do for fun?
I love to go antiquing and secondhand store shopping.
Oh, me too! its like we are twins separated at birth! It’s so much fun finding a great deal or a lost treasure. My kids and hubby totally love doing it with me too so I always have someone to come along with me. Sometimes we like to see who can find the best deal so we have to hunt extra hard!
I love the pictures you post of the things you find!

10. Surprise me!
I’m not sure if these are a surprise but here goes,
I am one cat away from being a crazy cat lady. Ha! well you have seen pics of my cat.
I love Christmas music year round. I love Christmas music, but I am not allowed to play it till after Thanksgiving.
My favorite sound is the wind whipping through the trees.
I love sarcastic comebacks.
I am addicted to Thai food
I almost always wear flats over heels because I’m afraid I’ll snap my ankle...safety first ;o)

Thanks to Aris Whittier for being a guest on my blog!
