Faithful, Fit & Fabulous - Week 2!

Last weeks goal was - to choose and purchase a Devotional/Bible study book.
I did it! Finally! It only took my 4 months! LOL Guess I needed this little push.

The one I chose is - "True Woman 101: Divine Design, an eight week study on Biblical womanhood"by -Mary A Kassian & Nancy Leigh DeMoss (they both have a lot of other books that look really good too)
What does it mean to be a woman? The current cultural ideal for womanhood encourages women to be strident, sexual, self-centered, independent -- and above all -- powerful and in control. But sadly, this model of womanhood hasn't delivered the happiness and fulfillment it promised. The Bible teaches that it's not up to us to decide what womanhood is all about. God created male and female for a very specific purpose. His design isn't arbitrary or unimportant. It is very intentional
and He wants women to discover, embrace, and delight in the beauty of His design. He's looking for True Women!

I am very excited about this book. It looks amazing! Each page has full color pictures. It has all the elements I was looking for - Bible ref., questions, things to think about, and you can write in the book! I bought 2 so my daughter can do it with me. about half way through I will write a review here on my blog. Check out the book on Amazon - HERE

My reward for this was to choose another book from my wish list. I chose - "They Only Eat Their Husbands" by Cara Lopez Lee - check it out - HERE

Week two - "Create a Life Plan"
Our homework for this week is to
~ write a life plan
~ create one goal to go along with the theme

You create a life plan by writing down lots of sentences about what you want your life to be in the areas of  Self, Relationships & Life skills. Then condense it down to 2 - 3 sentences for each area. And instead of using - I want to, or I will - use I do... so write it as though this is already what you are today.

Here is my lafe plan -
I am a happy, calm, God-loving woman. I am fit and healthy and ready to take on whatever comes my way. I take time out for - me! I am a loving mother and wife who is kind hearted, understanding and patient, not critical and judgmental and always try to encourage whenever I can. I am an organized woman who is financially secure with a clean organized house! I know how to balance my life between work and play, not having too much of either!

My goal for the week -
Make out a pseudo-schedule to help balance work and play.
I am not one of those women who is afraid to take "me time". Since I only work part time I do have lots of "Me time". I do tend to put off things that need to be done, because I know it will get done eventually. And I am one of those "extremes" person, One day I will kill myself cleaning all day and the next be so burn out that all I do is sit and read all day.
So I would like to make myself a weekly and even daily schedule (a loose schedule, lol).
And then actually start trying the schedule.

Wish me luck and talk to you next Wed.

Oops, I forgot to choose a reward. You know the reward part is just as hard for me. Because I do what I want, buy what I want anyway.
Any ideas?

  1. Yay, so glad you chose one that fits your needs! It does look like a great workbook, and one that will really get you thinking about your role as a woman in society. Good Luck with week 2!
