Special "End of the month/Spring fever giveaway!"
1. Favorite and least fav. genres -
My favorite genres are - Women's Fiction, Historical Friction, Christian Fiction, Chick-Lit, some light Paranormal, and memoirs.
My least fav. is - Sci-fi, Fantasy (just not interested in other worlds lol) Dark Paranormal, Erotica (eeewwww)
On the fence - Mystery (some I like, some I don't) Courtroom drama
2. Hardcover or Paperback -
I prefer paperback only because its lighter and easier to hold but... I don't like those small pocket paperbacks. I like the larger ones, what are they called? Trade paperbacks? Yeah that's what they are called, I just looked it up.
3. E-reader? If so what kind and how ofter do you use it?
I have a nook color. Love it! I have a ton of books downloaded on it. I actually read on it quite a bit.
I also have a new ipad! on that I have the nook app and the kindle app. I have already read 2 books on it. The only thing I don't like is that it is bigger than the nook so it is harder to hold in bed.
What might you win? - $15.00 giftcard from B&N!
Here's how -

Winner will be chosen, via Randon.org, on April 5.
1. My favorite genres are Historical Romance and Historical Fiction. I also enjoy cozy mysteries and ghost stories. I hate erotica or stories with too much sex in them.
ReplyDelete2. I agree with you that I prefer paperback because its easier to hold. But, I will be the HB version if it's a keeper and one of my favorites for the year.
3. E-reader? Nope! I've tried reading on my i-pad and it's just not the same. I prefer holding my books and turning the pages, thank you. [Same with a newspaper].

1. Cozies, mysteries, suspense, some thrillers, womens fiction. I don't read horror, erotica, fantasy (so many genres in that category now), most paranormal.
ReplyDelete2. I like all 3 - hard covers, paperbacks and trades. Trades are really nice because the print is usually a bit larger and there is more space between the sentences which makes for easier reading for my old eyes!
3. I don't have an e-reader or any of the other stuff - only my computer. I can't imagine reading a book on it although I know you can!

1. Favorite and least fav. genres -
ReplyDeletefavorites: medical/legal thrillers, mysteries, women's fiction, Christian fiction, chick lit
least favorites: erotica, paranormal, fantasy, historical fiction
2. Hardcover or Paperback -
hardcover...easier for me to hold...bad hands
3. E-reader? If so what kind and how ofter do you use it?
I have a couple kindles because I was given two and won one. They pretty much are full of freebie books but I have so many real books that I don't get around to my kindles often. Occasionally I pick them up and they are great for trips or if you get stuck being in the hospital.

Cool contest! I love it!
ReplyDeleteOk here I go,
1. Favorite and least fav. genres -
Favs: Lately, contemporary. Ideally it's a contemporary story with a hint of mystery.
Least fav: non fiction
On the fence: historical fiction
The thing with historical fiction is, when it's good it's realllly good but when it's bad it's realllly boring.
2. Hardcover or Paperback?
I use to be a hardcover girl.
Now I'm allll about my eBooks.
3. E-reader? If so what kind and how ofter do you use it?
I use the Amazon Kindle app on my iPod. I know it's tiny but I love it. It fits in my pocket and is ready for me whenever I get a moment. A crucial thing with my active little one. I usually read a tiny bit every night. Unless something sucks me in.
FAB contest.

To keep in my "permanent" collection I like to have hardbacks, but I prefer paperbacks when it comes to reading since it's easier to hold and is lighter.

1.Favorite genres: thriller, mystery, romance, and chick lit.
ReplyDelete2.I like both hardcover and paperback books. But I like hardcover best.
3.I have a Kindle Fire, but I don't use it much. In the past six months I have read 3 books on it. I much prefer a hardcopy book. I didn't really buy the Kindle, my husband got it for me not knowing I prefer regular books.
Thanks for having the giveaway.

1. Favorite and least fav. genres -
ReplyDeleteMy favorite genres are – Mysteries, biographies, devotionals, teens, childrens, and fantasy.
My least fav. is - Sci-fi, Dark Paranormal, Erotica
2. Hardcover or Paperback -
I prefer hardbacks because they hold up better. And since I’m a librarian and tend to collect books as well as reading them, I just like the way the hardbacks look on my shelves.
3. E-reader? If so what kind and how ofter do you use it?
I have an iPad with multiple reading apps (Kindle, Nook, iBooks, Overdrive, etc.) I always have an e-book on hand to read while walking on the treadmill. And sometimes, you can get an e-book from the library faster than you can get a print copy. So while I read mostly print books (and audio books in the car) I do read quite a few e-books.
I follow via GFC – I’m not sure how long I’ve been a follower, but it’s been a while.

1: Favorites: Young Adult contemporary, dystopian, mystery, thriller, chick lit
ReplyDeleteLeast favorite: Erotica- no thanks!, paranormal romance
2: Both. It depends on what kind of book I'm reading, I like my chick lit in trade paperback and everything else in hardcover. I know, I'm strange.
3: I have a Nook, one of the old school ones. I rarely use it, maybe once every six months. I usually just use my laptop to read ebooks. Now if I can get my hands on a Kindle Fire or Nook Tablet, that's different lol.
I'm not sure how long I've been following your blog (GFC follower Tiffany Drew) but I think maybe two years?
