"This World We Live In" (the last survivors book #3) by Susan Beth Pfeffer    4 stars
~ It’s been a year since a meteor collided with the moon, catastrophically altering the earth’s climate. For Miranda Evans, life as she knew it no longer exists. Her friends and neighbors are dead, the landscape is frozen, and food is increasingly scarce.   The struggle to survive intensifies when Miranda’s father and stepmother arrive with a baby and three strangers in tow. One of the newcomers is Alex Morales, and as Miranda’s complicated feelings for him turn to love, his plans for his future thwart their relationship. Then a devastating tornado hits the town of Howell, and Miranda makes a decision that will change their lives forever.

~ Great way to combine the characters of book 1 with the characters of book 2. You get to find out who survives and who doesn't and you really get a feel of the dynamics of people coming together to help each other survive. Is it easier in a larger group, or is it harder (more people to feed)? I thought this was a real nice addition to the series. The ending of course was a shocker, and a bit sad, but necessary. The whole series, although very sci-fi has felt very real to me.
The 4th book doesn't come out till Sept. can we survive till then?

"Goodnight Tweetheart" by Teresa Medeiros  4 stars

~ This is a very cute book with a very modern and original storyline. I love books about texting, and twitter, and emailing because it just makes it so much more relevant and "now". While I still love Historical fiction I do love these modern stories too. I would say this is a fun quirky "chick-lit" type story. It was very cute, sweet but a touch of real drama and sadness at the end! I totally didn't expect that. My friend Jen (at Random) gave me this book and I texted her "I didn't know it was gonna turn sad!".

"Seaside Letters" by Denise Hunter 3.5 stars

Because if someone else sifts through all those letters and finds out the truth, Tucker will discover her secret . . . that the person he's trying to find is her.

~This is my third book to read from the Nantucket series and this was my least favorite. It was still good, just not as good as the other two. I think part of the problem for me was while I liked Sabrina, I never really fell in love with her. It was a really good and original idea for a story though. The last book in this series for  me to read is - "Driftwood Lane".
