Her eyes are a mix of hazel and gray, and though some of her ancestors come from New England, she doesn't think they were witches. She lives in upstate New York with her daughter.
MY REVIEW -
Great, fun, witchy little book! It didn't stick to the "normal witch facts" but that was OK, it was a fun cute story that will certainly interest and entertain any young teen or adult who loves witch stories! Its very fast paced and full of action.
The author did an excellent job with the characters! They are all so very likable. Even though it was paranormal, it was very believable. The characters all seemed like real teenagers going to a real high-school. This seemed like a story about a normal teenage girl, taking her driving test for her license, having boy problems, trying to get in good with the other kids, having problems with her BFF, she just happens to be a descendant of Sarah Good of the Salem Witch Trials.
This book is not earth shaking. It will not win any awards. It is just an entertaining and enjoyable story. Quick and easy and leaves you with a smile on your face. It would be great for younger readers. There is no swearing, no sex, just good clean witchy fun. The main character, Abby is faced with some real moral decisions, and I think she makes the right choices.

"There's a swirling through darkness, and suddenly I am outdoors. Dusty planks turn into mud, rutted by wagon wheels, littered with straw. My wrists chafe in ropes. My hair has been hacked off with shears, and my scalp feels raw and exposed. I'm ashamed of the way I must look, like a badly peeled egg. Torches flicker around me as townspeople poke at me with sticks, kick at my hobbled ankles. When I lift my head, they draw back in fear. I hear the words "evil," "accursed." I hear someone hiss, "Die witch!" They are talking about me, spreading lies." ~ and so the story begins!Hear is a quote that I really like -
"Is there something good that can blossom from magical powers, some extra sparkling of the soul that not everyone gets, like being born with perfect pitch or a talent for dance? It's not just a question of what gifts you're given, but how you choose to use them, what shoes you put on to move forward in life. Revenge is a terrible thing, but the world needs a sprinkling of magic."
