MY REVIEW -
Absolutely Amazing! This is truly one of the best marriage and parenting book I have read! Usually with non-fiction book, I don't read the whole thing. I skim, only reading the parts that interest me or pertain to me.Well - I read this whole book - in one day! It was that good.
I think anyone who is a wife, especially a new wife - or a mother, especially a new mother needs to read this book! There is seriously so much information and great suggestions! I was bookmarking all over the place!
It was very nice easy reading, it was very interesting, it pertains to everyday life for really just about anyone and it is very well written! Even though I am not a new wife (married 19 years) and not a new mother (daughter is 25 and newly married herself) I found this book to be great, and an absolute joy to read! Honestly I can't give it enough praises.
I wish I had 100 copies to give away so all of you could have one, but I do have one to give away!
This would also make a great gift for someone you know who is getting married or is having a baby.
The only thing I wish - Is that she would write a book like this for men so I could give one to my hubby!
Thank you, thank you "Booksneeze" for sending me wonderful book to read and review!

5 +++++++ Stars!!!!!
ABOUT THE BOOK -
Women desire to live well. However, living well in this modern world
is a challenge. The pace of life, along with the new front porch of
social media, has changed the landscape of our lives. Women have been
told for far too long that being on the go and accumulating more things
will make their lives full. As a result, we grasp for the wrong things
in life and come up empty.God created us to walk with him; to know him and to be loved by him. He is our living well and when we drink from the water he continually provides, it will change us. Our marriages, our parenting, and our homemaking will be transformed.

"A Busy Mom's Guide To Meditating on a Passage or Scripture
1. Choose a passage of scripture for the week.
2. Write the passage on a note card and slip it in your pocket.
3. Open your Bible to that passage and place it on the kitchen counter.
4. Read the passage out loud.
5. Read the passage first thing in the morning.
6. Read the passage before you go to bed at night.
7. Write the passage on top of your to-do list (or grocery list)."
~ I am seriously going to do this!
"Opportunities to make your husband a priority -
1. When I am going to the grocery store, I ask him if there is anything he needs.
2. When I make out the grocery list, I consider what his favorite meals are.
3. When I make a dessert for a gathering, I make sure he gets the first serving.
4. At gatherings, I usually get his drink for him. At home, I offer him drinks regularly too.
5. I respect his thoughts and opinions above anyone else's."
~ I already do all of these things! Yay me.
"Use Peace-filled Words (especially with kids)Those are just a few of the sections I found to be helpful, but there are so many!
1. Instead of raising your voice in anger, lower your voice to a whisper.
2. Don't let someone else's anger make you angry.
3. Remember, yelling at a bud won't make it bloom.
4. Continue to Pray for peace in your home."
I do the whisper thing with my daycare Kids - they have to listen harder to hear me!

MY REVIEW -
This is a really cute book! First of all - the picture does not do it justice! It is a very soft denim blue leather, very impressive! There are lots of very nice ideas in here. This would really make a very nice wedding or anniversary gift for someone. This is a nice small, almost packet size (it would certainly fit in a purse) and would be great for travel.
Each "date" starts with a quote, many of them from books. Then it talks a little about the theme. Then lists the activity suggestion. Then questions to ask yourself and each other.
Here are a couple of the activities -
* Choose a restaurant or type of cuisine that neither of you has tried before. You will experience something new together for the first time.
* Take a class, attend a seminar, read an educational book together, or visit a museum together. Find a subject that interests you both and expand your knowledge as a couple.
Thank you Tyndale for sending me this great little book to read and review!
