Dec. Wrap-up and on to 2014!

I read 13 Christmas books in the month of Dec.! Now some of these were shorter. I don't know why but a lot of Christmas books are shorter.
For the most part I really liked most of the books I read!

My only 5 Star book and my favorite Dec. book by far was -
Comfort And Joy, by Kristin Hannah

I had two 4.5 Star books -
Christmas at Pebble Creek
A Mermaid for Christmas

I read eight 4 Star books!!! -
One Sweet Christmas
Spoonful of Christmas
The Dawn of Christmas
Mischief Under the Mistletoe
The Christmas Candle
Holly In Love
The First Christmas Without You
Angels in the Snow

My reading goal for 2013 was to read  125 books and I have read 129! So I passed that goal.
I also wanted to read (besides books for reviews) at least one book from my shelves, and one book from the library per month. I think I passed this goal except for maybe one or two months.

For the year 2014, here are my goals -
To read 130 books
To read at least one book from my shelves (or e-book shelves) per month
To read at least one book from the library per month

I am also going to try something new for the year 2014 -
I am going to play a little ongoing game similar to "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon"
I will read my first book, then when reading my second book I will try to find something linking it to the first book (characters with the same name, both take place in a coffee shop etc.) then I will link the third book with the second, and the forth book with the third and on and on. By the end of the year I should have at least 130 books all linked together with the one before it!
At the end of every review I will state what the connection to the previous book is.

Let me know what you think of this fun idea. If anybody would like to give it a try please do! Just please "link" it back to my blog LOL.

  2. I managed to get a few Christmas books read this month as well. Congrats on the 130 books. I managed 85. I was aiming for 60 so I am ahead. School really puts a dent in my reading time, so I'm glad I managed what I did. Happy New Year!
