ABOUT THE BOOK -
When George and Bella—a homeless alcoholic and his intimidating German shepherd—disturb the peace outside her studio, yoga instructor Kate Davidson’s Zen-like calm is stretched to the breaking point. Kate tries to get rid of them before Bella scares the yoga pants off her students. Instead, the three form an unlikely friendship.
One night Kate finds George’s body behind her studio. The police dismiss his murder as a drug-related street crime, but she knows George wasn’t a dealer. So Kate starts digging into George’s past while also looking for someone to adopt Bella before she’s sent to the big dog park in the sky. With the murderer nipping at her heels, Kate has to work fast or her next Corpse Pose may be for real.

MY REVIEW -
This was such a cute mystery! I am not a fan of dogs at all (I'm a cat person), and I am not into Yoga (I know its good for you though), but... this was one of the cutest mysteries I have ever read! It was fun and quirky all the way, just what I do love. I thought the whole storyline/mystery was very well planned out and well written.
The character development was great. I absolutely loved Kate. She was a slightly ditzy, hyper active, busy body, but sweet and funny yoga instructor sticking her nose where it shouldn't be, and I loved her for it.
This is not s serious mystery, so don't read it thinking it is. It is meant to be fun and light. It is kind of a chick-litty, romancey, quirky and fun kind of mystery - which is exactly my thing.
So I take it that this might be the first in a series "Downward Dog Mystery". If there is going to be more I am pretty sure I will want to read them. This was very enjoyable.
Here's a couple quotes I loved -
"I am not commitment phobic, I assure you. I simply have relationship ADD.""He's busy right now, but maybe I can help. I'm Tiffany."Seriously? Tiffany? Who in the world named their kid Tiffany? Parents who raised brain-dead sex kittens, that's who."
Thank you "Partners in Crime" for sending me this cute mystery for my honest review.
