Wonderful storyline with wonderful characters! It slightly reminded me of "Beauty Shop" with Queen Latifah (I loved that movie). I liked that the author didn't just stick to one character and one storyline, she developed all of them and they each had a little story to  tell. I felt a connection with all these ladies right away. It was fun seeing the inside of a beauty salon, but that's not all this book has to offer. It is also a sweet romance!

I had no idea what African American women have to go through with their hair! So this was an eye opener for me as well as very entertaining.

I am wondering - sequel???? I would read it! I do hope this author continues to write, she has a gift.
