The Feast - Kathryn Elizabeth Jones

ABOUT THE BOOK -
Virginia had experienced the power and direction of the five stones; now, she would need to use them again.

For entirely different reasons.

Keeping her marriage together was not the only thing on her mind. Having a child wasn't going to happen in the usual way, and Virginia was determined that adoption was the answer. If she did all of the right things, said all of the right words; if she remembered the five stones in her journey to get her child, God would surely have to answer her.

It wouldn't be too difficult.

MY THOUGHTS -
I listened to the audio version of this book which was fun! I think I did enjoy it more that way.
This book was enjoyable enough, I just didn't love it nearly as much as the first one - 'Conquering Your Goliaths'. For some reason Virginia, the main character, was really annoying to me in this one and I don't remember her being like that at all in the first book. So that kinda ruined it for me right away. I liked all the other characters, I just found her to be way too whiny.
This is definitely a book that you can take something away from, it gives you food for thought. Their dilemma - desperately wanting a child and not being able to conceive,  is a common one that many people (women especially) would be able to relate to. In this story we are reminded to turn to God in even those desperate times of need, and when it seems like He's not there - He is! He listens and answers our prayers, just maybe not the way or time frame we are expecting.

Thank you Kathryn for sending me this audio for my honest review.
