Unplanned - Alana Terry

4 Stars!

ABOUT THE BOOK -
When Kennedy Stern’s childhood pastor asks her to volunteer at his new pregnancy center, she carves time out of her rigorous college schedule to promote the cause of the unborn.

After receiving a disturbing call from someone far too young to carry a child in the first place, Kennedy can no longer blindly hide behind the pro-life platitudes she grew up believing. She resolves to locate the unknown girl but winds up entrenched in a mystery that grows more convoluted as it unfolds.

Soon, Kennedy finds herself a pawn in a deadly game of intrigue, at the mercy of those who consider a few innocent lives a small ransom to pay in exchange for personal and political victory.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR -
When Alana isn't writing, it's likely that she's on the floor wrestling with her kids. Or playing outside with her kids. Or chauffeuring her kids. Or trying some random science experiment with her kids. But she's probably not cooking or cleaning.

Alana is a homeschooling mother of three who loves to write, hates to cook, and enjoys reading a good book almost as much as she enjoys writing one.

Alana won the Women of Faith writing contest for "The Beloved Daughter," her debut inspirational novel. She has also won awards from Readers' Favorite, IndieFab (Finalist), The Book Club Network, and Grace Awards.

MY THOUGHTS -
This is my forth book by Alana - you might say "I'm a fan". I like Alana's style of writing. Its very easy to read, and very easy to get into. All her books have nice storylines and great characters.

This book has some controversial issues in it. I like that, its bold. I, myself am pro-choice but am also a Christian (rare, I know!). The stand taken in this book did not bother me at all. I think you would like reading it no matter what side of the abortion fence you are on. I love stories about today's issues, it makes it fresh and more modern - and this one is written very well.

I liked the suspense in here, certainly made it more interesting! This starts out at a pro-life clinic and ends up with a mystery. There are some surprises and twists in here! It get very suspenseful towards the end. This story definitely keeps your attention all the way through until the great ending.

I am not sure if this is labeled YA but it would be a great young adult book! Of course - no sex, no swearing. Just good clean suspense.

Thank you Alana Terry for sending me this e-book for my honest review!

  1. Thanks so much. I love hearing that even though you're pro-choice you didn't find the storyline offensive. This is a huge compliment to me!!
