Everything She Forgot by Lisa Ballantyne

4.5 Stars!

ABOUT THE BOOK -
Driving home, Margaret Holloway is rear-ended and trapped in the wreckage of her car. Just as she begins to panic, a stranger pulls her free and disappears. Though she escapes with minor injuries, Margaret feels that something's wrong. Flashbacks to the crash are dredging up lost associations from her childhood. And somehow, Margaret knows that it's got something to do with the man who saved her life. As Margaret uncovers a mystery with chilling implications for her family and her very identity, Everything She Forgot winds through a riveting dual narrative and asks the question: How far would you go to hide the truth-from yourself?

MY THOUGHTS -
WHOA! Not the ending I expected! This book keeps you just on the edge all the way through. The whole time I kept teetering toward knowing what was going to happen but then falling back into Suspenseville. I really thought I had it all figured out - wrong. Very well done.

Not only was this was great mystery/suspense it was a great story period. There was a lot of feeling in this story. Many heartfelt moments, but very well done to keep it edgy.

Great character development. The author did a fantastic job allowing us to see inside these complex characters. Everyone was very likable but a few - with very mysterious pasts.

Like I said before, this book will keep you on the edge of your seat. By the middle I was dying to know what was going to happen, I had my own ideas of course only to have them ripped away as the real story unfolded. I love a story that can surprise me and this one did.
What I really liked was that not only was this a good mystery but is was so full of emotion almost like it was two stories folded into one, and very nicely!

And lastly - Wow, great ending! I actually read the ending twice! Just to make sure and because it was so well done. Kind of subtle - but perfect!
Books like these are what keep me reading mysteries!
