The Upside of Iris - Helen Rose & Lisa Falzon (e-book GIVEAWAY)

Absolutely 5 Stars!

ABOUT THE BOOK -
What does love look like to you?

For young Iris, the whole world looks upside down, and the only person who truly understands and appreciates her perspective is her new friend Charlie, who has his own unique trait: he cannot speak. His silence, her precociousness, and their acceptance of each other make the two a perfect match.

But happiness is fleeting, as Iris’s new stepsisters, skeptical and jealous (as conventional folks often are of those who dare to swim against the tide), manage to drive the two apart. Iris and Charlie are separated for the remainder of childhood.

Grown-up Iris never forgets about Charlie, though, and her love for him influences the charming art gallery she now owns. But despite the visually magical environment she inhabits, Iris finds herself doubting Charlie once again, thanks in no small part to those pesky stepsisters of hers.

Still, before she decides to give up hope altogether, she decides to do one small thing for the other lonely souls around her . . . with wonderful consequences.

The Upside of Iris is an illustrated love story for all ages, and for anyone who has ever felt misunderstood. It is a whimsical, touching reminder that perspective is truly everything, and that a change in perspective can make all the difference in the world.

MY THOUGHTS -
Oh I just loved every minute of this book! This is an absolutely beautiful and delightful book. If the story doesn't enchant you the pictures certainly will! But I am sure you will be taken with both.
I read this in e-book form and let me tell you - it just comes alive on an iPad! I felt like I was watching a mini movie in stills.

This is a whimsical fairy tale (and romantic!) kind of story with Iris being the sad, sweet, endearing "little-red-riding-hood" kind of heroine. I was delighted with this story from beginning to end.

You are introduced to Iris as a cute but kind of sad little girl who sees everything upside down. You then get to know her as a young adult who is looking for her true love that she was separated from as a child - awwwww. You are also introduced to a few other characters that Iris helps along the way. She is quite an amazing girl, that Iris!

Will she find her true love again? You will have to read to find out.

I think this is a book that you will read to your children or grandchildren over and over and never get tired of.

Oh and did I not mention the gorgeous artwork! Oh my. I think you should go through and read it then go through it again and just look at the pictures.

Thank you Kate Tilton Book Bloggers and author Helen Rose for sending me an e-book copy for my honest review.
