ABOUT THE AUTHORS -
SERENE ALLISON and PEARL BARRETT are sisters who share a passion for
healthy eating. They both have large boisterous families and love to
experiment in the kitchen on ways to best nourish their families and
stay slim and healthy in the process. They are former Christian
recording artists who traveled extensively for the record label, but
they relinquished their touring careers to embrace a life at home with
children, dinners, dishes, and diapers. They never looked back.

MY THOUGHTS -
This cook book received tons of great reviews on Amazon. In giving it 2 stars I am not implying that it is a bad cook book, just that it was not for me. It was not suited to my cooking style and personal tastes.
This book is a beautiful book! I was impressed with the quality of it. It had hundreds of recipes and lots of nice colored photos.
The chapters are -
One Pot Meals
Hearty Mains and Sides
Sunrise Eats
Sweet Treats
Beverages
All Things Smooth and Crunchy
I did mark a few recipes that sounded good to me -
Pink Salmon Chowder
Wonder Fish Tacos
Super Salmon Ptties
Apple Cinnamon Swirl Muffins
A couple of problems with this book are that they use quite a few ingredients regularly that I don't normally use (and am not going to start) - Integral collagen, Sunflower
Lecithin, MTC Oil, Not
Naughty Noodles, Nutritional yeast, Gluccie, and stevia - some of these items I have never even heard of!
And A LOT of the recipes include meat and I am a vegetarian. I know I can just leave the meat out. But I do like to look at this in cook books. And as far as being healthy and good for you, in my opinion - these could be healthier by simply leaving out the bacon! Yes, I said bacon.
So again - Some people might love this book (obviously a lot of people do!) but I would say it is not for everyone!
Thank you Blogging for Books for sending me this cook book for my honest review.
