I am so excited to have author Rachel Dylan Guest posting here on my blog today! I have read several of Rachel's books and am totally a fan! I am especially loving these legal thrillers/court room drama's. I love that kind of book anyway.

Hi, it’s Rachel Dylan here, and I’m excited about being a guest blogger today. I write Christian fiction including romantic suspense and legal thrillers. In addition to my writing, I still work full time as an attorney. It seems like the legal world keeps creeping into all of my books!

It’s funny because being a lawyer is what pushed me into writing my first novel. I was working so much at a large law firm, and I felt myself start to become disillusioned with everything—the crazy hours, the work, the never ending emails….One day I reached a breaking point where I decided that I wanted to write a book. I had always loved to read and write, so I thought, why not? Well, that book never saw the light of day, but it started me on a journey. Little did I know where the road would lead me.

I entered a writing contest for Love Inspired Suspense even though I didn’t think I had the time to do it or any chance of actually getting anywhere with it. But much to my surprise, I got my first traditional publishing contract through that contest. Now my fourth book from Love Inspired Suspense, Incriminating Evidence, has just released. Also, I have a few indie books and a new legal romantic suspense series on the horizon.

There are times when I ask myself, why is it that I write? The answer is simple, I love writing. And it goes beyond that for me because when I made the decision to write Christian fiction, I was able to express my faith in a different way—and one that has really resonated with me.

So quick some fun facts about me. I LOVE animals. I have two dogs and three cats, and I couldn’t imagine my life without them in it. I often write surrounded by them. They are so much fun and a lot of company. Although I will say to everyone who says that cats are easy, I vehemently disagree! Mine are totally high maintenance.

I’m from the south but now live in Michigan, and I can’t stand the cold weather. I love coffee (isn’t that a must for an author?), pizza, and good southern food—as long as I’m not the one cooking. That wouldn’t be good for anyone.

I love connecting with readers and am active on social media. So please, let’s connect!
