MY THOUGHTS -
Loved this one! I am so glad I got to review a Bible story book that was for older children instead of toddlers for a change (5 - 8 yr. olds)! This one is perfect for those in-between children. Too old for simple picture Bible story books but to young to really understand the full meaning of the Bible.
Each story begins and ends with scripture right from the Bible. So if it was me doing this with a child (my someday grandchildren) I would take a moment and look up the verses in a Bible with the child to show them that they really do come from the Bible. Then read them from the Bible so they can hear it from there. This is a great segue to get them used to reading the actual Bible. I really like this idea - using both together like as a Bible study.
This is a gorgeous hardcover book with even more gorgeous pictures!
I highly recommend this Bible story book, especially for Grandmothers to do with their grandchildren. :-)
