ABOUT THE BOOK -
Sometimes good girls do very bad things...
Academic overachiever and popular good girl Abbie Cooper is used to being in control, and aims to keep it that way. As senior year at her elite New England private school kicks off, she’s focused on one goal: getting into the Ivy League. But even good girls have dark secrets. One morning, Abbie discovers a cryptic note in her locker, I know what you did, hypocrite! Justice will be served, The Avenger. Then a photo arrives in the mail. It captures in great detail the explosive secret she’s kept hidden from everyone—the shocking blunder that could get her expelled from Saint Matthews Academy, and keep her out of the Ivy League for good.
Determined to protect her future and the people she loves, Abbie is drawn into a diabolical game of blackmail, cyber spying, and deception. For $50,000, the mystery girl known as The Avenger assures Abbie that her secret will remain safe. There’s only one problem: The Avenger may not exist at all. So who’s stalking Abbie with anonymous text messages that disappear after they’ve been read? Who’s out to ruin her and why? To uncover the horrifying truth, Abbie must play the game, all the way to its stunning conclusion.

MY THOUGHTS -
This was a fun, edgy, easy reading page turner. Definitely kept me guessing almost the whole way through. I kept flip flopping back and forth between who I thought did it. I did finally suspect the assailant, but only at the end and not the whole story. Well played out.
This was very much a YA book, which I didn't expect. It was fine with me, I do like reading YA books, I just didn't realize before reading. It reminded me of a cross between "Mean Girls", "Hex Hall" which is one of my favorite YA series! and surprisingly "Gilmore Girls" the private school Rory went to was a lot like this. And in the book, Abbie's nemesis was just like Paris on GG. Of course you can probably guess what I have been watching on Netflix lately LOL.
I love books about private schools and boarding schools - so this book already had a gold star starting out. The kids that go to this school are from very wealthy and famous families. There are parents who are in politics, are actors, models, surgeons, a celebrity chef etc. that certainly made it interesting.
I also liked the sub-plot - bad boy finally meets the right girl and turns good :-) I always like a happy ending this way. Great suspense and nice little romance combo.
This was my first book by this author and I am looking forward to reading more! Since part of the title is "A Fearless Novel" I am thinking this is part of a series? I hope so. This one was very enjoyable!
