Escape from Witchwood Hollow - Jordan Elizabeth

5 Stars!

ABOUT THE BOOK -
Everyone in Arnn - a small farming town with more legends than residents - knows the story of Witchwood Hollow: if you venture into the whispering forest, the witch will trap your soul among the shadowed trees.

After losing her parents in a horrific terrorist attack on the Twin Towers, fifteen-year-old Honoria and her older brother escape New York City to Arnn. In the lure of that perpetual darkness, Honoria finds hope, when she should be afraid.

Perhaps the witch can reunite her with her lost parents. Awakening the witch, however, brings more than salvation from mourning, for Honoria discovers a past of missing children and broken promises.

To save the citizens of Arnn from becoming the witch’s next victims, she must find the truth behind the woman’s madness.

How deep into Witchwood Hollow does Honoria dare venture?

MY THOUGHTS -
Absolutely loved this book! This story has so many elements that I loved.
Once upon a time there was a witch, a very selfish witch. A very lonely witch who thought that by forcing people to stay with her they would become her family... and life goes downhill from there.

This story takes place in three different time periods - 2001, 1850, and 1650. One person from each of these time periods gets stuck in time in Witchwood Hollow due to the "witch's curse". It's like a hole where you get stuck in time. For them time goes by very slow. What seems like a day for them is really years, sometimes several hundred years. I loved this idea- how original! So in this "black hole" there people wandering around lost, looking for their way home. They eventually meet each other...
And I will leave you wondering there.

Great character development. Even new characters that are introduced are very easy to get to know. This book was so much fun to read! I loved all the paranormal elements. There was seriously never a dull moment. I love stories about ghosts and witches - and this one was perfect! Also being a lover of historical fiction I loved that part of it as well. Very well done! I highly reccomend this book!

I am right now reading another book by this author - Victorian. I am really liking that one also! I may have found another favorite author!
