Ordinary Graces: Word Gifts for Any Season - Lucinda Secrest McDowell (HUGE Giveaway!)

Absolutely 5 Stars!!!

ABOUT THE BOOK -
Everyone loves to receive a gift.
And God has given us many, such as his grace-the gift we don't deserve and can never earn. Promises from the One who declares we are already loved, already accepted, already created in his image. The question becomes, will we truly receive that gift? Will the reality of it actually change the way we think and notice and reach out?
God's Word will stand forever, in any season of life. These truths prompt us to respond with compassion and courage.
Through inspiring devotions, Lucinda Secrest McDowell reveals biblical blessings that remind us that: God's promises give us strength, God's grace can be most evident at our weakest points, a proper response to our abundance of blessings is simply gratitude, and the "more" we are all looking for is the same abundant life that Jesus came to give us.
Would you like to receive these gifts of ordinary grace? Join Lucinda in focusing on one word a day through devotional readings and short benedictions for any and every season to explore the many facets of Grace, Strength, Gratitude, and Life.

MY THOUGHTS -
I think I have found my favorite Devotional writer! A year ago in June of 2016 I reviewed - Dwelling Places by Lucinda Secrest McDowell and it was fantastic. This one, Ordinary Graces is just as fantastic! Wow, I just really love Lucinda's writing style. I guess it clicks with me. I feel like she is talking directly to me. I find myself thinking - "How did you know?".

Just like the other one I read - the days are not dated - I like this. Whenever a devo. is dated I always feel pressure to do it on that exact day and if I can't then it gets skipped. There is a Bible vs. at the top of each page but also each devo. is filled with Bible references and verses. I also love this, a bible devotional should be filled with scripture. These are long enough to get something out of it, but short enough to fit it in a busy schedule.

I think literally anybody can use and would like this devo. it is simple enough for beginners, deep enough and thought provoking for more seasoned Christians. Each page is so personal every person is sure to take away something from it.
