MY THOUGHTS -
Who knew crime could be so much fun! Seriously - laugh out loud funny.
This book starts hilarious, very cheeky! I was Laughing out loud and therefore had to read parts of it to my daughter whom I was visiting at the time. I also, in a way, read it to my granddaughter, but I don't think she got it - she's only 8 months!!! LOL! A future fan.

Quite a lot of characters to keep track of, but each one has its place, and each one is important. Even the four different news reporters had fun, quirky, unique personalities and something to add to the story. I loved the melding of all of the different personalities. The author did a fantastic job with this. I especially loved the two main characters - Jack and Diane (a coincidence with the names? I think not! This author is very clever). I can't say that Jack and Diane worked well together - because they did not! But that was part of what made this so darn funny.

Sure this book is a wild and crazy ride but there's also meaning in here. It's not just a robbery gone crazy wrong it's also about protesting, equal rights, women's rights, marijuana being legalized (which I am all for), and so much more. Definitely my type of book!

I read this book easily in three days even with the distraction of my baby granddaughter! LOL A fun, quick, quirky summer read, but also one with a deeper meaning. I highly recommend this, especially if you are looking for something a little different.

Pool Rating - 5 Stars! A fantastic, fun poolside book!

  1. You have piqued my curiosity. Putting this one on my list. That you read portions to your daughter and granddaughter, it must have been really good!

    1. And then, true story- when I was finishing the book at home, I kept laughing out loud in front of my husband. He kept saying "what? what?" And I just kept saying, "This book is just so freakin hilarious!"
