Clutch by Lisa Becker, Narrator - Suzanne Barbetta - AUDIO

4.5 Stars!

ABOUT THE AUDIO BOOK -
Clutch: A Novel is the laugh-out-loud, chick lit romance chronicling the dating misadventures of Caroline Johnson, a single purse designer who compares her unsuccessful romantic relationships to styles of handbags – the “Hobo” starving artist, the “Diaper Bag” single dad, the “Briefcase” intense businessman, etc. With her best friend, bar owner Mike by her side, the overly-accommodating Caroline drinks a lot of Chardonnay, puts her heart on the line, endures her share of unworthy suitors and finds the courage to discover the “Clutch” or someone she wants to hold onto.

MY THOUGHTS -
A really super super cute story! This was very chick-lit-ish which I love! This one had a fun original idea - A different chapter for each man in her dating life each one labeled a different type of purse/handbag. Some of these (well maybe all) of these guys were real losers!!!!

The character development was great! I love the two main characters - Caroline and her BFF Mike. Even the "losers" were developed well. Great job!

Will Caroline find the true love she so desperately wants? You get to painfully follow her through guy after guy after guy when maybe the perfect one was right under her nose the whole time.

This was very predictable, but... I always say - I don't mind predictability as long as it ends the way I want LOL and it did! Great ending.

Super fun, romantic summer read (or listen).

AUDIO - I thought the audio was pretty good - about 4 stars. I liked her voice for Caroline. She was easy to listen to. Some of her other voices for the men weren't so great. But still - very good over all.
