ABOUT THE AUTHOR & ILLUSTRATOR -
Doris Wynbeek Rikkers is a freelance writer and editor who has written many bestselling children’s books and Bibles. Although she loves the ocean, she lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan, surrounded by her books, her flower gardens, and her family and friends.

Spanish artist Fernando Juarez illustrates children’s books and also works as an art supervisor at the Madrid studio Ilion Animation. The company produces 3D feature films for children. Fernando has three kids himself, and if he has any time left after work and family, you might catch him playing guitar in a rock band.

MY THOUGHTS -
This is a creative and a different type of Bible story book. This one is all based on the "Spirit of God". I do like this idea but it is kind of limiting. There are some great stories in here and I think they are told in a wonderful way. Some of them are changed a tiny bit. So those who are VERY picky about their Bible stories won't like this at all.

What I do really like about it -
~At the beginning of every story is an actual Bible verse. I think this is very important in a Bible story book and surprisingly is often missing! So a gold star for that.
~And the illustrations are beautiful!

  1. I have always loved Noah and the ark. I'm intrigued by a man who would build such a structure and the animals he carried within the ark.
