Gingerbread Home - Jennifer Conner

Christmas has not been filled with happy memories since Emilyn Owens left her small town of Berry Grove. She comes home to visit her sister who has taken over the family’s bakery, Sugar Street Treats.

Thary Murray has been riding across country to outrun the tragic memories of his past. He’s taken a short-term job at the bakery and makes the best pastries anyone’s ever eaten.
When Emilyn’s sister becomes ill she and Thary must work together to finish a gingerbread village promised as a fundraiser for a children’s home.

As they begin to open up to each other about the pains of their pasts, will this draw them into something deeper for the holiday season? Possibly love?

Jennifer Conner is a best-selling Northwest author who has over eighty short, novella and full-length books in ebook, print, and audiobooks. She writes in Christmas Romance, Contemporary Romance, Paranormal Romance, Historical Romance, and Erotica.
Jennifer is an Associate Publisher for the indie e-book publisher, Books to Go Now who resides in the Seattle area. They pride themselves on helping new authors get their foot in the door with well-edited manuscripts, professional covers, and platforms uploads.
She lives in a hundred-year-old house that she grew up in. Her semi-small town holds an interesting mix of resident hillbillies, yuppies and Navy Seals. And of course, Seattle, only a few miles away, is the birthplace of Starbucks so coffee is always on the checklist. She blows glass beads with a blow torch, (which relieves a lot of stress and people don't bother you) and is a huge fan of musicals.

MY QUICK THOUGHTS -
Another great Christmas read! I don't enjoy baking. I am good at it, I just don't enjoy it.
But - I do love reading books set in a bakery! It just seems like the perfect setting for a romance.
This one gets a little mysterious when a stranger suddenly comes into town. Who is he really? What's in his past? and can he be trusted? - I loved him! - I trusted him wholeheartedly! LOL
Super cute cover - very christmassy!

Thanks again to my author friend - Sharon Kleve for this e-book copy.

  1. I love to bake. In fact, I'm going to bake banana bread for the neighbors today after my exercise class (keeping up with my health goals even during the busiest time of year). This book sounds cozy and fun to read.
