ABOUT THE BOOK -
Max Paddington refuses to go into the light until he finds his killer. This presents a dilemma, since Max is even less competent as a spirit than he was as a live person. No one sees or hears him and he can't manage to get anywhere or do anything on his own.
Joe Cavelli is a private investigator, living an ordinary life. Then one day he walks across a parking lot, gets yelled at by a ghost, and his life only gets stranger from there.
Max and Joe team up to find Max's killer. In the process, they form an unlikely friendship and change each other's lives in ways they never expected.
Darcia Helle is a Massachusetts native, who escaped the New England winters to write in the Florida sunshine. She lives with her husband in a home full of spoiled rescue animals and an occasional stray lizard. She writes because the characters trespassing through her mind leave her no alternative.

MY THOUGHTS -
OK so I am now officially a Darcia Helle fan! And this is only my second book. I absolutely can't wait to read more. This book was so much fun to read!
First off, I love ghost stories! And holy cow, this was one of the best and definitely the most fun! One minute I was crying and the next I was laughing so hard I had tears streaming down my face so I couldn't see to read. At one part I was laughing out loud for a solid 10 min, my husband was so annoyed he threatened to leave the room because I was bothering him! He is such a Kiljoy! But, I did tell him that if I can find this in audio (Darcia - is it in audio?) I was going to get it for him.
Max started out as a real jerk and I couldn't stand him. Really there was no liking him at all. Then... well he became a ghost! And, he actually became more "human" emotionally anyway. And he was freaking hilarious! So, I hate to say it but I did fall in love with him!
What a great fun read! If you are a fan of ghost stories, the fun kind not the dark scary kind - you will LOVE this!
I also read "The Cutting Edge" by Darcia and loved that one as well. I haven't done a review for it yet, but I will. I just love her style of writing. It is snarky, quirky, and so much fun, but her books are also very suspenseful! So a great combo!
- Thank You!!
