MY THOUGHTS -
A little bit of background about myself - I am a devoted Christian. I love reading the Bible and studying His word. And... I love Bible journaling! I started Bible Journaling a couple years ago and love it! I own a couple of Journaling Bibles myself. When I saw that this was up for review I nearly jumped for joy!
When I received this in the mail and took it out of the package I was blown away! This Bible is absolutely gorgeous. I cannot say enough good things about it!
Its an NIV, which is my favorite version. It’s a great size. I absolutely love the pink hard leather cover. Isn't it beautiful? It will make any young girl squeal with delight. There are enough coloring pages, and enough blank pages to keep everyone happy.
When opened it does lie flat quite nicely and doesn’t want to close all the time, which I feel is an important feature.
It does have lines on the wide margins but they are faint. You can use the lines to write on or just paint or “art” over them.
The pages seem pretty thick for a Bible. When I compare the pages to my other two journaling Bibles - these pages are actually thicker! And I use watercolor paints and acrylics in my Bibles, So I think this will work quite nicely for a young girl to do her Bible journaling in. If I didn’t already have plans to give this one to my granddaughter, I think I would definitely keep it for myself!
I very highly recommend this as a journaling Bible for a young girl, a teen, or even an adult. I honestly could not find anything negative about this Bible. It is a wonderful, beautiful, and very well constructed Bible. It says targeted for ages 8 to 12, but I really feel like it could be for any age from 4 or 5 on up! A great gift or buy it for yourself! Or, you could try to win one!
