She takes it as a good sign when a letter left by her dad ties into an unsolved case of a young woman struck by a train.
Hunting down the one person who can prove the mysterious death was not just a drunken accident, Kelly discovers this witness is in no condition to talk. MY THOUGHTS -
WOW!! This book was fantastic!
I loved it right from the start. The most exciting thing about this book?... this is book one in a series! YES! This is definitely a series I will be reading.

I absolutely loved Kelly. I loved how she was willing to put herself out there, out of her comfort zone and willing to break a few rules to help this woman find out about her daughter's death. A little interesting twist with Kelly having an 8 yr. old daughter who is deaf. It somehow made Kelly seem more real for me.

As I was reading this book a song kept going through my head. Lies by The Thompson Twins.
Lies lies lies yeah (they're gonna get you)
Lies lies lies yeah (they won't forget you)
Lies lies lies yeah (they're gonna get you)

It seems like nobody can tell the truth in this book! So frustrating for Kelly!

Excellent writing, easy to follow, fun, and exciting.

Here are a few of my favorite quotes from the book -

"I have bills to pay, a child to clothe, and a house to keep up." Why did women always have to justify working when men could simply say they had things to do?" - So true!

"Bring a mask and come sooner than later. This stuff is nasty." - LOL did the author realize how this would really hit home!??

I honestly can not wait for the next one in the series!
