ABOUT THE BOOK -
True Crime Fans Iced by Cold-blooded Killer
What do a bartender, a priest, and a librarian have in common? They all work in New York City. They’re all true crime fans. And they’re all dead, courtesy of a predator with a chilling approach to murder. Talbot County, Maryland Lieutenant Sam Tate is in the Big Apple to find answers about her own tragic past when she is pulled onto the case of the Dry Ice Killer by an old friend with the NYPD. Drawn to a new colleague, she questions her long-time relationship with her FBI boyfriend. Meanwhile, she’s caught between the demands of an impatient bureaucracy and an especially sadistic sociopath. This may be Sam’s most dangerous case yet—if she survives.

MY THOUGHTS -
This book earned every one of its five stars! This book absolutely gave me the chills! I am totally a blood and guts type girl lol doesn’t bother me at all. I can read about stabbings. murders. blood, but this… This just chilled me to the bone. The visual was so good it freaked me out sometimes.
Death by dry ice just went to the top of my list of ways I definitely do not want to die! Thinking about the torture that these women went through brought tears to my eyes. I had incredible connection to the characters, even the minor ones, but especially Sam.
The online chat room of the “so-called detectives” is an interesting and fun addition to the story. I have to admit I’m not a huge “true crime“ fan like the groups mentioned in the story. But I read Helter Skelter about the Manson murders when I was a teenager and today it still remains one of my favorite books.
This was not only a page turner but I felt like I couldn't skip a single page for fear that I would miss something important. So, no skimming on this one!
The ending - Wow! The only advise I have - Just read it yourself!
- Thank You!
