For myself and Lauren, my 10-year-old daughter No3 Beech Close was to be our refuge after two years of hell nursing my sick mother.

In need of a fresh start and wanting to distance ourselves from the bad memories of my mother’s house we moved to Beech Close, a small cul-de-sac of six houses situated around a picture-perfect green.

Gemma Rogers was inspired to write gritty thrillers by a traumatic event in her own life nearly twenty years ago. Her debut novel Stalker was published in September 2019 and marked the beginning of a new writing career. Gemma lives in West Sussex with her husband and two daughters.

MY THOUGHTS -

My first book of the year and already I know this is going to be on my top 10 list! 

Gemma Rogers, you've out-done yourself this time! This is my 3rd one by this author. Each one even better than the last. 

This could absolutely be a movie. In fact, I had a movie running through my head as I was reading the book. The descriptions were so vivid. The whole time I’m reading this I kept thinking “Stepford wives“ and… At 87% that exact thing is mentioned in the book! Lol guess I was on the right track. 

This is the kind of book that once you sit down and start reading, once you get past chapter 1, you will not want to stop reading until you get to the end so be ready for the long-haul. Might as well make yourself a pot of coffee and get comfortable.

So intense, so suspenseful, and a little bit scary! But, 100% amazing! Gemma Rogers - you just became one of my "go to authors"!

Pick up this must read book now. then set aside a couple of days, order pizza ahead, because you won't want to stop.
